Elegant and comfortable. ## The space This beautiful, recently renovated duplex apartment is located on one of the prettiest blocks of brownstones in Fort Greene-Clinton Hill (Grand Ave and Gates Ave). Perfect for a couple or family, this apartment is both elegant and homey. Our place is over 2000-square feet (185 square meters) and occupies the lower two floors of an 1870s Italianate brownstone. The parlor level features a huge sunny elegant living room/dining room with soaring ceilings and beautiful period details, such as a gold leaf pier mirror, mahogany fireplace, and original inlaid parquet floor. There is a super comfy couch, a built in bookcase with a large flat screen TV (with Roku for streaming), lounge chairs, and Alexa and speakers for a sound system. The dining table seats in the other half of the parlor seats ten. There is a AC mini-split in this room. In the rear of the parlor floor is a very charming kitchen with amazing morning light, gorgeous floor-to-ceiling French doors, and high end appliances. The kitchen is stocked with every you need for a gourmet meal or a midnight snack. The kitchen also has AC. There is a powder room on this level as well. The garden-level features three bedrooms and large bathroom. The spacious primary bedroom has a marble mantel and sitting area with an en-suite stylish bathroom with thermostatic heat shower system and Japanese bidet toilet and a large walk-in closet. The master has a mini-split AC unit. The second bedroom has a trundle bed (two twin mattresses), a desk with the view of the garden, and ample storage. There is also a cozy third bedroom with a twin bed, desk, large closet, and garden view. A second bathroom on this floor also has a thermostatic shower system and a soaking tub. Finally, there is deck off the kitchen and a large rear private garden with a raised deck area for lounging, a day bed and outdoor table that seats 12, and a gas grill for cookouts.
