What was the inspiration behind the design concept for this property?

The clients were young and were willing to embrace modernity. It was important for me to maintain an atmosphere that was enjoyable, vibrant, and reflective of their youthful energy, without compromising on a sense of elegance and refinement.

Could you share some key design elements or features that make this property unique?

I love to use color in all my interiors - so many of these modern interiors today are all white and grey- it's as though the walls are a forgotten part of the design - so when this client was amenable to painting the walls brilliantly, and open to using bold fabrics with Saturated hues I knew immediately that our unique angle on an otherwise modern space would make this a very unique property. The space was airy and bright and the main starting point was the kitchen which is central to the main living space

How did you approach the selection of colors, textures, and materials to create a cohesive and inviting space?

Whenever I embark on the task of designing a space, one of my initial steps is to gather an assortment of fabric schematics, which consist of various families of fabrics that harmonize with each other. I am able to envision how different patterns and textures can seamlessly blend together. While achieving this desirable outcome does call for careful consideration, the end result is often a resounding success. I prioritize selecting the appropriate fabrics as the starting point of my design process, disregarding the wall colors momentarily. The key lies in striking the perfect balance among the design elements. Even though I am particularly fond of vibrant colors and intricate patterns, it is crucial to bear in mind that not every furniture piece or decorative item within the interior needs to possess a distinct personality.

Were there any specific challenges you faced during the design process, and how did you overcome them?

I think the offset fireplace in the living room area was a challenge but it ended up being a good brain tease- the layout of the space takes advantage of the views facing toward the fireplace and windows, and the culp style curved sofa helps breakup the rectilinear geometry of the room

Can you tell us about any interesting or innovative design solutions you incorporated into this property?

The clients expressed their desire for captivating art pieces, and among the most intriguing choices is the tandem bicycle adorned with multiple colors, which is suspended above the dining table. This unique find was discovered at a flea market in Paris, and my immediate thought was that it would make a brilliant artwork for the dining room. It is always enjoyable to give new life to existing pieces and employ them in unexpected and creative ways.

How did you ensure that the design reflected the client's vision and lifestyle?

I frequently accompany my clients on shopping expeditions at the Paris flea markets. These markets not only offer a plethora of captivating and unique discoveries, but they also provide an avenue to share a travel experience with clients, allowing for quality time spent together and the opportunity to truly understand their preferences and observe their reactions to different items.

Are there any standout rooms or dreds within the property that you particularly enjoyed designing, and what makes them special?

The dining room was an incredibly enjoyable space to be in. Not only did we have a unique piece of artwork on the wall in the form of a tandem bicycle, but we also added a touch of elegance with a collection of lovely pendant lights that we grouped together to form a magnificent and eye-catching light fixture above the dining table. This particular space truly embodied the essence of a vibrant dining room, as it was designed to spark meaningful conversations. It served as a hub for engaging discussions and provided a plethora of fascinating topics to explore.

In the living room, we encountered an interesting challenge. To enhance the visual appeal, we decided to incorporate oversized pieces of artwork, strategically positioning them to serve as focal points and create a cohesive look. This clever choice played a crucial role in determining the color scheme for the fabric and furniture selections. The resulting effect was a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere in
