East Loft | East Village | Bright Loft Apt w/City Views

Alans home is well designed with everything you need to feel at home in the city. The neighborhood is lively with great food and a lively outdoor food/bar scene. The bathrooms and kitchen are very modern, and the office space is perfect for working from home with a lovely view over the local park space.

Great place in a great location. Pictures don’t do it justice. The area has amazing bars and restaurants and it’s close to the other best / funnest areas in downtown also.

We love this place and would be thrilled to come back. We were there for the month of September. I’ll start with the only two negatives: there are all those stairs to climb (fortunately each flight not that big) and the place ain’t inexpensive. But as long as you can handle the stairs, the positives FAR outweigh the negatives. The place is huge. for NYC it’s an enormous place for two people, and it works for a 3rd person. The bathroom is great, the shower fantastic. The kitchen is great. At least as good as the average single family home. We didn’t choose to cook much, but it would have been very easy to cook full meals for 4 people, with plenty of room in the kitchen for 2 people to work simultaneously. The location is great. I can’t say it’s literally quiet (this is Manhattan), but we rarely noticed the noise other than an occasional siren. Finally, Alan was a fantastic, very friendly host. From helping with the bags when we arrived, to responding quickly to messages.

We spent an extended stay in this apartment and had a fantastic time - due in large part to the apartment itself. The Alphabet City location was a significant highlight of our trip. There are so many restaurants, coffee shops, bars, and shops within walking distance (including icons like Katz’s Deli and Russ & Daughters) - you are really spoiled for choice. Even with all the big city diversions, the neighborhood still has a community vibe that is laidback and welcoming. Staying here felt more like a “local” experience than our previous hotel visits. The apartment itself is spacious, quiet, and comfortable. The kitchen has all the amenities you need. The dedicated office space is just right for anyone working remotely. It was a lovely oasis to come back to after exploring the hustle and bustle of the city. I cannot say enough good things about the host and the experience of staying here. We would be eager to come back again!

Alan was a wonderful host. His loft is a beautiful space. Thoughtfully curated art throughout and flooded with sunlight. With a great location on the border of the East Village and The Lower Eastside, Alan’s street is quite peaceful but close to everything.

Great location, really spacious. Lovely host - great communication. Spent 2 months at Alan’s and would love to come back.
