Hacienda Del Sol | Palm Desert | Luxury Desert Oasis

We enjoyed our 6 week stay. Views are incredible. We were comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. Comfortably accommodated our guests. Great pool and patio area with grill bar area with seating around the fire pit. Location was perfect for all the things we wanted to do- dining, shopping, biking, walking and close to local activities like the zoo and hiking trails. The only reason for giving this rental 4 stars instead of 5 was due to the noise from the adjacent properties that were doing major renovations including the sound of jack hammers. Appreciate that the host has no control over that, and assuming the construction will be complete at some point. And unfortunately the last week of our stay the internet was not working so TV’s didn’t work consistently and using our devices was slow and difficult. The host ordered a new modem which didn’t arrive in time to correct the situation. But this should be corrected for future guests. Overall this was a wonderful vacation!

There is a lot to love about this home. Firstly, the location, in my opinion, is the best place to be. Palm Desert sits between Palm Springs and La Quinta and everything is near you. A very walkable 1.2 miles to the east is the Zoo, just a few blocks away is a great park, especially for small kids and one mile north is El Paseo shopping/dining district. The house is on the hillside of Hwy 111 and the views are fantastic. I am a cyclist and the roads, generally are great for bikes. Just across the street is a great mountain biking trail system. So about the house: each room is large and comfortable and clearly updated as were all of the bathrooms. All the linens were of good quality and there everything you need was provided. If there is one negative, the home is dark. There are solar light tubes but the light was minimal (I was here in Dec). As a result, we really had to turn on all the lights to make it feel bright enough. A minor thing but I prefer natural light. A can't miss.

Just as the pictures and prior reviews had shown, the home was fabulous and well stocked with everything for each of the various rooms in the house. The home was perfect for we 3 couples. We have been to the desert many times but really liked this location in Palm Desert. We sent a couple of messages to Jena which were always returned really quickly with all the necessary information. We rent a place every year in the desert and this home has been my favorite stay on Airbnb. It was even better than the listing pictures. The house is spacious, large, homey, and the kitchen had everything I could possibly want or need. All of the beds and linens were very comfortable, great workout and game room, and the beautiful backyard and pool was a favorite hangout. Jena was a very gracious and attentive host. For a family or couples traveling together this home had it all.

Everything was seamless and the pool area was a nice spot for end of day relaxation
