Shatemuc | Port Ewen | Waterfront Retreat with Stunning Views
"Shatemuc" was built by my own hands from the ground up on the shores of the Hudson River. The original inhabitants of these lands were the Lenape who called the Hudson River "Shatemuc," meaning "the river that flows both ways." The home's seclusion affords tranquility and connection to nature yet it is minutes from downtown Kingston. The exposed timbers, huge kitchen, enormous windows and bi-fold doors, deck, high-ceilings and spectacular finishes are one-of-a-kind. And then there's the view!
Sleeping Spaces
Waking up to breathtaking sunrises over the Hudson River and enjoying evenings on the terrace, guests rave about the stunning views and thoughtful design of this waterfront retreat. With its inviting decor and unique architectural details, including a hidden loft and luxurious bathrooms, this home offers a perfect blend of comfort and creativity. Nick, the attentive host, ensures a memorable stay with his warm hospitality and local recommendations.
