Host & Guest Content Policy

Rove Content Policy

At Rove, we believe reviews are an essential part of creating trust and transparency in luxury property rentals. Reviews help future guests make informed decisions and provide valuable feedback to property owners and our platform. To ensure reviews are fair, respectful, and relevant, we have created this Content Policy.

By posting a review on Rovetravel.com—or by publishing reviews imported from third-party platforms such as Airbnb or VRBO—you agree to abide by this policy.

Scope of Content

This policy applies to all content submitted or displayed on Rovetravel.com, including but not limited to:

  • Written content: Reviews, feedback, listing descriptions, and communications with Rovetravel.com, Hosts, or guests.
  • Imagery: Photos and videos uploaded as part of a review or rental experience.
  • Multimedia content: Audio, video, or other formats that may accompany reviews.

Rovetravel.com reserves the right to remove any content, in whole or in part, that violates this policy, our Terms of Service, or our Community Standards. Repeated or severe violations may result in account suspension or removal from our platform.

Prohibited Content

The following types of content are not permitted in reviews on Rove:

1. Commercial or Promotional Content
  • Content created for the purpose of advertising, self-promotion, or marketing unrelated services.
  • Company logos, links, or brand names unrelated to the rental experience.
2. Spam or Irrelevant Content
  • Content that is repetitive, disruptive, or unrelated to the rental experience.
  • Unwanted solicitation or irrelevant commentary.
3. Illegal, Harmful, or Offensive Content
  • Content that promotes, endorses, or describes illegal activity.
  • Sexually explicit, graphic, violent, or harassing content.
  • Threatening or abusive remarks directed at hosts, guests, or Rove staff.
4. Discrimination or Hate Speech
  • Content that discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any other legally protected status.
5. Misrepresentation or Fraud
  • Reviews that are false, misleading, or deceptive.
  • Content attempting to impersonate another individual, company, or Rove staff.
6. Privacy Violations
  • Content that includes another person’s private information (e.g., phone numbers, email addresses, financial information).
  • Details sufficient to identify the exact location of a property beyond what is disclosed on the Rove platform.
7. Intellectual Property Infringement
  • Content that violates copyrights, trademarks, or other third-party rights.

Additional Standards for Reviews

To maintain integrity and usefulness of guest reviews, the following rules apply:

  • Reviews must reflect a genuine experience from a verified stay.
  • Reviews must be relevant and respectful, focusing on the quality of the property, amenities, host, or overall experience.
  • Reviews must be objective and factual—not hearsay or second-hand accounts.
  • Reviews may not be used as leverage for refunds, discounts, or personal disputes.

Imported Reviews (Airbnb, VRBO, and Others)

Rove may display reviews imported from third-party platforms such as Airbnb and VRBO. These reviews are subject to those platforms’ content standards, but Rovetravel reserves the right to:

  • Remove or redact reviews inconsistent with our luxury brand standards.
  • Flag or exclude reviews that are irrelevant, misleading, or in conflict with Rove’s policies.

Reporting a Policy Violation

If you believe content on Rove violates this policy, you may report it by contacting us directly at support@rovetravel.com. Our team will investigate and take appropriate action.
