Up to $5,000,000 of damage protection for hosts on eligible Rove Travel bookings.
1. What it is
Rove Travel arranges damage protection for hosts against damage that guests cause during eligible Rove Travel bookings, which are reservations made on rovetravel.com. Our damage protection provider administers the program and decides claims under its program terms, which we’ll send you on request. Reservations made through other channels aren’t covered: they follow that channel’s policies or, for a Rove+ home, your Rove+ agreement.
Damage protection doesn’t replace the insurance you must carry under the Rove Travel Host Terms or your Rove+ agreement. It protects hosts, not guests, and doesn’t reduce what a guest owes.
2. By plan
| Hosting on Rove Travel | Rove+ | |
|---|---|---|
| Limit | Up to $5,000,000 per eligible Rove Travel booking | Up to $5,000,000 per eligible Rove Travel booking |
| Deductible | $500 per claim: protection covers damage above the first $500, which isn’t reimbursed with the claim | None |
| Who files a claim | You (section 5) | We may file it for you if you ask, and we may report damage we find during inspections. If we can’t, you may need to collect evidence or file it yourself |
| Governing terms | The Rove Travel Host Terms and the provider’s program terms | Your Rove+ agreement’s damage terms govern; the Rove+ Terms and Conditions and the provider’s program terms also apply |
3. What’s covered and what isn’t
The provider’s program terms decide what’s covered. Examples of what’s covered: accidental or intentional damage by guests; theft; damage to contents and furnishings; smoke damage in non-smoking homes; damage from unauthorized parties; excessive cleaning and ruined linens; and damage by a service animal when the house rules are followed.
Examples of what isn’t: acts of nature; wear and tear, and damage that can’t be shown to have happened during the stay; bodily injury and liability; loss of income or business interruption; and alternative accommodation costs.
4. Eligibility
A booking is eligible only if it’s a Rove Travel booking, our damage protection provider approves the guest’s screening, and the reservation includes a verifiable email address and phone number for the guest. Other bookings aren’t covered. We don’t guarantee that a booking is eligible or that a claim will be paid.
5. Filing a claim
- Document the home. Take timestamped photos or videos at check-in and check-out, and keep receipts and repair quotes.
- Report the incident to support@andora.ai with your evidence as soon as you can, and no later than 10 days after check-out.
- Review and decision. The provider reviews the claim, may ask for more evidence, and decides it. Approved claims are paid once your bank details are confirmed.
A claim against the guest for the same damage, such as against a deposit, is separate and follows the Rove Travel Host Terms.
