RoveTravel AI for Rove Hosts
RoveTravel AI is a set of assistants that reply to your guests on your behalf: one before a booking and one during the stay.
They answer the everyday questions guests ask most using only:
- Your listing details
- Answers you have previously given guests
- Live availability
Anything sensitive or uncertain is handed directly to you.
You stay in control. RoveTravel AI is optional, can be turned off at any time, and notifies you whenever it acts.
How It Works
Two assistants, one for each stage
The Pre-Booking Agent helps guests who are still deciding whether to book.
The During-Stay Agent helps guests after they have booked, through check-out.
It is always identifiable as an assistant
How the assistant appears depends on the platform the guest is using. See How Messages Appear to Guests below.
You get the first word
When a guest sends a message, the assistant waits for a short period before replying.
If you respond first, the assistant steps aside and stays out of the conversation.
It only uses your information
Answers are based on:
- Your listing details
- Answers you have previously given guests
- Your live calendar
If the assistant cannot find a reliable answer, it will not guess. It will hand the conversation to you.
You are always in the loop
Whenever the assistant replies or steps back, you receive a notification.
Turn it on or off anytime
You can enable or disable the Pre-Booking Agent and During-Stay Agent for your account whenever you like.
How Messages Appear to Guests
RoveTravel AI is always identifiable as an assistant, but how that looks depends on where the guest is messaging from.
On Rove
Replies are labeled as coming from your assistant and use the display name you choose.
By default, the assistant is named:
“[Your first name]’s assistant”
The assistant also has its own avatar, allowing guests to clearly distinguish its messages from yours.
On Airbnb, Vrbo, and Other Platforms
These platforms only allow messages to be sent through your account. As a result, assistant replies appear under your name, alongside the rest of the conversation.
Every assistant-generated message begins with a ✨ symbol. This acts as a consistent marker showing the guest that the message was sent by an assistant.
Pre-Booking Agent
The Pre-Booking Agent handles questions from guests who are still deciding whether to book.

What It Always Sends to You
The Pre-Booking Agent does not answer questions involving:

- Refunds or cancellations
- Payment questions or payment problems
- Changes to dates or guest counts
- Changes to anything in the booking agreement
- Anything it cannot answer confidently using your listing information
If a Guest Is Upset or Off-Topic
If a guest appears frustrated, sends an off-topic message, or does not ask a genuine question, the assistant does not reply.
Instead, it steps back and flags the conversation so you can take over.
During-Stay Agent
The During-Stay Agent helps guests who have already booked, including guests arriving soon and guests currently staying at the property.
What It Can Answer
Arrival and Directions
Questions about:
- How to reach the property
- Where to go upon arrival
- How to enter the home
Access Details
The assistant can provide:
- The property address
- WiFi credentials
- Door or access codes
For security, sensitive access details become available only once the stay begins or within 48 hours of check-in.
If a guest asks for these details earlier, the assistant explains when they will become available.
Using the Home
Questions about:
- Appliances
- The house manual
- Trash and recycling
- General property instructions
Check-Out
The assistant can explain the steps guests should follow before leaving.
Extending a Stay
The assistant can check your calendar to determine whether a later check-out may be possible.
What It Always Sends to You
The During-Stay Agent does not answer requests involving:
- New bookings or additional dates
- Pricing
- Cancellations
- Refunds
- Changes to an existing reservation
- Special requests that require coordination from you
Emergencies
If a guest reports an urgent issue, the assistant does not attempt to handle it itself.
Urgent situations may include:
- Flooding
- Fire
- Lockouts
- Medical concerns
- Safety concerns
The assistant immediately escalates the conversation to you so you can step in.

Regardless of the booking stage, RoveTravel AI sends the following directly to you:
- Pricing, discounts, and quotes
- Refunds, cancellations, and payment issues
- Booking changes, including new dates, additional guests, or reservation modifications
- Special requests that require your coordination
