Host & Guest Review Policy

Overview

At Rove, we believe honest and transparent reviews are essential to building trust and ensuring great experiences for both guests and hosts. Reviews help future travelers make informed decisions and give our team valuable feedback to improve our experience.

1. Who Can Review & When

  • Eligibility: Only after a valid, completed stay booked through Rove.
  • Timing: Both hosts and guests have 14 days after checkout to submit a review.
  • Publishing: Reviews are published after both parties submit or once the 14-day window ends — whichever comes first.

2. Review Guidelines

  • Unbiased & Genuine — Reviews must reflect real experiences, not incentives or retaliation.
  • Relevant & Helpful — Share observations that help others make informed decisions (cleanliness, comfort, communication, listing accuracy, etc.).
  • Respect Content Standards — No discriminatory, harmful, offensive, or misleading content.

3. Editing & Publishing Reviews

  • If you’re the first to submit, you can edit your review within the 14-day window until the other party submits.
  • Once both reviews are submitted or the 14-day period ends, they are published and cannot be edited.

4. Responding & Disputing Reviews

  • You may post a public response after a review is published to provide context or clarification.
  • If a review is retaliatory or violates policy, contact Rove with documentation. We’ll review and may remove it if it meets our removal criteria.

5. Ratings & Private Notes

  • Reviews include one overall rating — no category breakdowns.
  • Guests may leave a private note during the review process that is visible only to Rove’s team. Relevant for stays at partner-hosted property to share feedback directly with us.

Reviews that violate our Content Policy by containing explicit, discriminatory, harmful, fraudulent, retaliatory, or other content may be removed by Rove without notice. Reviews must provide relevant information about the reviewer’s experience with the host, guest, stay, service, or experience that would help other community members make informed booking and hosting decisions.
