Sylvia’s house is incredible - standouts for us were the plethora of kids toys, the clean, heated pool (with floats ready to be used!), the gorgeous kitchen and bathrooms, comfy beds… truly it was a joy to spend a weekend at Sylvia’s home! Very private and quiet location (we saw bears twice in three days near the house!) but within an easy drive of Kingston, Catskill and of course Saugerties. Hoping to return, thanks Sylvia!”

Their communication was thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely caring, making our cross-country move feel so much less stressful. Before we arrived, they asked about our preferences and stocked the home with organic breakfast foods from the Park Slope Food Coop. After our delayed flight, we were welcomed with a homemade peach spice cake and a stuffed animal for our two-year-old son—thoughtful touches that meant so much. The home is even more beautiful than the photos. The chef’s kitchen, curated artwork, incredible library, and perfect location made it feel like a true home. We stayed for a month while relocating and couldn’t have imagined a better place for such an important chapter of our lives. We’ve stayed in many Airbnbs, and this was one of our very best experiences. Miranda and Matthew set the gold standard for hospitality, and we’ll enthusiastically recommend them to family and friends.”

“Photos don’t do this place justice. We came as two families — twelve of us, parents and young adult kids — for an occasion that mattered, and there was a genuine pause when we walked in. The craftsmanship is what gets you first: the woodwork, the tile, the light fixtures that clearly weren’t chosen from a catalog. The bathrooms alone are worth the stay — showers you don’t want to get out of, tubs that actually invite you in, tilework laid with real intention. Even the linens feel considered, and the art throughout the house is the kind you stop and look at rather than walk past. The lighting deserves its own mention: warm, layered, beautifully done, so the house looks as good at ten at night as it does at noon. “Beautifully appointed” undersells it considerably. The location is, in a word, unbeatable. Unobstructed views of both mountains — something we didn’t quite believe until we saw it for ourselves. Trailheads are minutes away, town is an easy run, Moonlight Basin is close at hand”
